This course is designed to teach and give hands on training to individuals desiring to enter the field of allied health care. The primary goal is to instill the latest information on blood collection techniques, skills and equipment for a safe and effective specimen collection thus enhancing customer service and promoting patient care.

Tuition: $1,100.00 includes
  • Text book
  • Lab Coat or Scrubs
  • Malpractice Insurance
  • PBT (ASCP) exam application fee and Clinical Internship fee.
Required Medical Documents
  • A current Physical Exam
  • MMR
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria booster
  • Negative TB results or Chest x-ray within 1 year (cannot expire during class)
  • Hepatitis B Vaccine/Antibodies
Requirements
  • Must be 18 years old
  • Present a current Photo ID.
  • Present HS Diploma or GED
  • Must pass reading assessment test (cost $5.00). *** Testing held on Tuesday or Thursday at 10am in Worcester and at 2:00pm in Leominster. No appointment necessary.
  • $100.00 Deposit required to hold your place in class.
  • A background check must be completed as a pre- condition to participate in the Phlebotomy program.
  • Full payment is required 3 weeks before class begins.
  • Sign Enrollment Agreement.

The reading test is given on:
Worcester location: Monday at 1:30pm, Tuesday and Thursday at 10:30am.
Leominster location: Monday and Wednesday at 10:30am.
*****Please arrive 30 minutes before the testing time.

Day and Evening classroom sessions take 4 weeks to complete and are held on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and are followed by an additional 2.5 - 3 weeks (100 hrs) of clinical internship**, Monday - Friday, 40 daytime hours a week. (7AM - 3:30pm or 8am - 4:30pm.)
