Millbury Federal Credit Union Pledges $25,000 to American Red Cross
Millbury, MA, December 31, 2002 - Lisa Piehler-Jones, Executive Director of the American Red Cross of Central Massachusetts accepted a check for $5,000 yesterday from Joseph Barbato, President and CEO of Millbury Federal Credit Union. The donation represents the first of five $5,000 installments to the Chapter's Capital Campaign.
Millbury Federal Credit Union has been a generous supporter of the American Red Cross of Central Massachusetts for several years as a sponsor of the Chapter's Annual Golf Tournament and through Mr. Barbato's involvement as a past Board Member and current Corporator.
Mr. Barbato spoke for MCU's board of directors and employees in his strong support of the American Red Cross and its many good works. Founded in 1934 with just 20 members and $100 in assets, the credit union has grown to $175 Million in assets and serves more than 30,000 members through offices in Millbury, Auburn, Webster Square, and Greendale.
