American Red Cross Board members recognized on National Philanthropy Day
Don and Joyce Virostek were honored on November 18, 2005 at a luncheon to honor this year’s Philanthropists of Distinction.
Joyce served as a member of the American Red Cross of Central Massachusetts Board of Directors for six years, retiring from the Board in 2003. Joyce remains involved currently serving as the Chairman for the Heroes Breakfast Program Committee. Joyce presented the Chapter with a Leadership gift to our Capital Campaign and she was instrumental in asking others to support the building of our modern facility. Don joined the Board in 2003 and serves as our Planned Giving advisor. Don works tirelessly on complex bequests and his expertise has assisted many donor gifts.
Don and Joyce are generous contributors to the American Red Cross and understand the importance of supporting the local chapter on an annual basis. In addition, they support the Chapter during critical times when many gifts are diverted to large national and international disasters. Don and Joyce are shining examples of people who give back to their communities. The American Red Cross is grateful that Don and Joyce Virostek are members of the prestigious American Red Cross Henry Dunant Society.
